Replacing a laptop screen is a repair that many people can successfully tackle themselves. Gather Your Tools and Find the Right Part
The first step is the most important: preparation. You will need a few basic tools, typically a small Phillips-head screwdriver and a plastic prying tool. Crucially, you must find the correct replacement screen. The easiest way to do this is to look up your laptop’s exact model number, which is usually found on a sticker on the bottom of the device. Search for this model number followed by “replacement screen” to find a compatible part.
Working Safely to Remove the Broken Screen
Always start by disconnecting the laptop from power and removing the battery if possible. This is a critical safety step. If it looks great, power down again, disconnect the power, and carefully clip the bezel back into place.
