It can be a real moment of panic when you need to get into your HP laptop but the password has slipped your mind. You will need access to a working computer and a blank USB drive (8GB or larger). Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s official website and follow the instructions to create a bootable USB. Insert this USB into your locked HP laptop, restart the device, and boot from the USB drive (you may need to change the boot order in the BIOS). From the Windows setup screen, you can choose to perform a clean installation, which will erase everything and give you a brand new start.
