If the touchpad is still not responding, the driver software might be outdated or corrupted. You can update it by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager. Expand the “Mice and other pointing devices” section, right-click on your touchpad device (it might be listed as an HID-compliant mouse or with a specific brand name like Synaptics or ELAN), and select “Update driver.” Let Windows search automatically for updated driver software.
